A couple weeks ago our team took part in an event that showcased locally made products, hosted by Foodland.
Not only did we get to connect with other local producers, we got to meet current and prospective customers as well. For us the experience was gratifying and it gave us the opportunity to hear from customers first hand. We were surprised to see how many people knew about our products and were able to spot the changes in our bottles. The new bottles are a hit! Hearing their stories of our products was another highlight of the event, too. As a company, we have our own story, but hearing from customers stories about their experience with our products was something quite special. They were clearly making the products their own, as they should, and were incorporating them into their family rituals, social events and the like. We even learned what their favorite mixes were. People seemed to like mixing with cranberry, coke and some other interesting blends were mentioned and recommended.
The reception to the new bottle changes were welcoming and we even had a visiting Swiss gentleman take one of our samples off our hands. He loved the bottle that much and is a fan of aged rum. When a customer wants to pay for a sample, that’s pretty much a good sign. So we sold him the sample, wished him a great onward journey home and hoped he enjoyed our rum. We would like to think the Canne Royale Extra Old is keeping him warm over there in Switzerland 🙂 We hear it gets pretty cold over there.
It was a nice evening of sipping, chatting and interacting with the life and blood of our brand – the customers. We look forward to doing it again soon.
